Setting a new standard in imaging, the X-Pro1 features a new 16.3 MP X-Trans APS-C CMOS sensor that changes the way sensors are designed. By removing the optical low pass filter and reconfiguring the pixel array the new sensor in combination with FUJINON high precision optics, the X-Pro1 delivers extremely high image quality and phenomenal resolution. The new array, inspired by professional photographic film, produces a more random pixel configuration in order to reduce moiré and false color commonly generated by conventional sensors that have the optical low pass filter removed. The new X-Mount lens system is specifically designed to maximize the mirrorless design of the body. With a short flange back distance of just 17.7mm (for the 35mm lens), the rear lens elements are as close as possible to the sensor. The Hybrid Viewfinder can instantly switch between Optical and Electronic mode, adding a new dimension to the pleasure of composing photographs. Combined with a host of other professional and high performance features and the cutting edge precision styling of the X-Pro1, a new generation of advanced digital photography has arrived.
